Dear Members: Your Union will be holding a ratification/strike vote on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 8:00 A.M. at IUOE Local 793’s head office located at 2245 Speers Road, Oakville, for all members that: 1) are currently working under the Greater Toronto Sewer and Watermain Collective Agreement; and 2) may work under the Greater Toronto Sewer and Watermain Collective Agreement, but are not employed in any employment on April 23rd. Local 793 members playing a critical role at Bruce Power Generating Station project

Local 793 members are busy at Bruce Power’s Major Component Project (MCR) on the eastern shore of Lake Huron in Tiverton, ON. The project is part of Bruce Power’s life extension program which will enable the site to operate safely to 2064 and continue to provide reliable and low-cost electricity to millions of Ontario residents. Seen in the photo below is Brother Stetson Thede working for E.S. Fox Limited, standing next to a Grove GMK5250L all-terrain crane.
