Andrew Saunders

Andrew Saunders started his career on staff with Local 793 as an organizer in 2016. He then moved into the Toronto area and worked as a Business Representative before transitioning into the role of Sector Coordinator. He sits on various committees, including the Crane Rental Association Health and Safety Committee as the Chair and the Hoisting Trade Management Committee. Andrew has had extensive experience at the bargaining table for many independent units and was part of the negotiating team with TARBA and OCDCA. He was in the role of Sector Coordinator for Roads and Industrial for the GTA for the better part of five years and was then appointed as the Provincial Director of Health and Safety. Andrew has sat on numerous committees with IHSA, CSA and within Local 793. His experience as a health and safety director was comprised of consulting Local 793 staff of current OHSA requirements, accident investigation and protecting our members from poor site practices. He has recently been appointed as the South-Central Ontario Supervisor.
