Dave Turple
President
Dave Turple is a licensed 339A mobile crane operator and has been a member of IUOE Local 793 since 1998.
Dave is the President and Assistant Business Manager of Local 793. He has served the union in multiple roles since joining the staff in 2012, including as Organizer, Business Agent and Toronto Area Supervisor.
Dave’s commitment to the union and its members is reflected in the leadership roles he has taken with key construction industry groups.
As well as being a Trustee on the union’s Pension, Health and Wellness, and Training trust funds, he also serves as an Executive Board member with the Provincial Building and Construction Trades Council of Ontario and as a Labour Representative on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Construction Secretariat.
A long-time advocate for advancing the health and wellbeing of all those who work in the industry, Dave is a trustee on the board of the De Novo Treatment Centre, an organization that provides substance abuse treatment for unionized workers and their families.
Dave is married with two children.
