Eight OETIO apprentices demonstrated their skills and knowledge at the 2024 Skills Ontario Competition at the Toronto Congress Centre. The apprentices underwent evaluation on several practical exercises such as pre-operational inspection, control operation, post-operation procedures, and efficiency. They also had to complete a written test.
This year’s competing Mobile Crane Level 4 apprentices are Brian Corkery, Mark Davidson, John Gawron, James Grieves, Dean Hardiment, Dylan Jones, David Mullett and Robert Spencer. The judges were Local 793 retirees Vince Prout and Dan Davey.
