Four years ago, Heritage Toronto unveiled a plaque at Church & Shuter Streets, marking the spot where it all began.
Back in 1919, 11 steam shovel operators met at the Elliot House Hotel to establish the IUOE Local 793 chapter, sparking a movement that has been building Ontario for 106 years!
