Heavy equipment operators often face the risk of contact with electrical hazards at the job site.

On average, each year in Ontario, 19 workers get critically injured due to electrical-related incidents in the construction sector.

Between 2018 and 2023, there have been 120 total electrical accidents, 116 of those resulting in injuries and 4 causing deaths.

It’s crucial to recognize high-risk electrical hazards that demand proper caution and respect.

IUOE Local 793 stands as a dedicated advocate for the protection of all workers involved in building and maintaining Ontario. The importance of this mission cannot be overstated, emphasizing that safety is not a matter of chance – it’s a deliberate choice that each person must make.
