February is Black History Month when together, we celebrate the achievements of Black Canadians who have helped shape our workplaces, our communities, and our union every single day.
This year’s theme is “Black Legacy and Leadership: Celebrating Canadian History and Uplifting Future Generations.” This celebration honours the past while investing in the future through education, empowerment, and community-driven initiatives as we continue to build a legacy of strength, honour, and unity.
This month and every month, IUOE Local 793 is committed to fighting racism and hatred in all forms. We encourage members to stand up in defence of their fellow Brothers and Sisters as we strive for equality, fairness, and positive change on job sites and at every industry level.
