Your Union held ratification votes across the province today for members working under the Provincial Collective Agreement. As a result of the ratification votes, the Memorandum of Agreement was turned down.

Therefore, effective Monday, May 2, 2022, members working under the Provincial Collective Agreement are on strike. Work falling under the Provincial Collective Agreement includes:

  • Crane & Equipment Rental
  • Steel Erection & Mechanical Installations
  • Foundation, Piling and Caisson Boring
  • Excavation/Earth Moving
  • General Contractor Construction
  • Surveying (in connection with the above types of work)

What do I do on Monday, May 2, 2022?

Do not report to work on jobsites covered by the Provincial Collective Agreement on Monday, May 2, 2022, whether it is operating or transporting of equipment. For the time being, we will not be picketing jobs unless you are advised otherwise by your Union Rep.
