Brother Greg Kelly, an operator at Modern Crane Rental, runs an 80-ton mobile crane to perform a stop-log placement for regular maintenance at Sir Adam Beck generating stations in Niagara Falls.
The Sir Adam Beck dam regulates the flow to the No. 1 & No. 2 powerhouses downstream near 14000 Niagara Pkwy.
Our knowledge of these generating stations heavily influences Ontario’s experience with hydroelectric power. Its unique geography and natural reservoir (Lake Erie and the rest of the upstream Great Lakes) are naturally suited to sizeable hydropower.
