Local 793 members are working for GDB Constructuers on the Scotts Mills Dam project at Lock 19 in Peterborough, ON. This replacement project is badly needed as the current dam is nearing the end of its life and plays an essential part of the Trent-Severn system. Lock 19 is one of many dams across Ontario that allows Parks Canada to manage water levels across the province. Water levels are responsible for navigation, controlling flooding, and protecting the environment.
