Local 793 members remain busy on the Little Long Dam Safety (LLDS) project for Kiewit at the Smokey Falls dam, roughly 90 kilometres north of Kapuskasing, ON. This project will protect the Ontario Power Generation stations in the area from any extreme flooding and ensure that residents in the area can continue to have access to a reliable source of power.
This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023.
