On behalf of the officers, executive board and staff, IUOE Local 793 would like to wish all members and their families a Happy New Year!
Despite the challenges of the pandemic this year, Local 793 continued to grow and now represents more than 17,800 members working in the construction, mining and industrial sectors.
Highlights of a successful 2021 include: the Union continues to be financially strong; the general membership meeting was held in December and district monthly meetings were restarted in November; the Benefit and Pension Plans remain strong; and the purchase of regional properties in Simcoe County, Sarnia, Hamilton and Thunder Bay to further improve servicing and training opportunities for members remains a top priority.
Local 793 would like to thank everyone who helped make this year a success. We will persevere through this pandemic together and become stronger than ever! We will continue to improve the lives of members and their families and pave the way for the next generation of Local 793 members.
Celebrate safely as we ring in the new year and welcome a prosperous 2022.
