The OE Banquet Hall & Conference Centre at Local 793’s head office in Oakville has won a prestigious award from the North Oakville Today newspaper.
The publication announced that the banquet hall will receive a platinum award for taking first place in the banquet facilities category of the sixth annual Readers Choice Awards. The award is especially important, as it was readers of the newspaper that cast their votes for the banquet hall.
Readers of the newspaper voted online for several weeks. They were asked to choose their favourite businesses and services in a number of categories.
When the votes were counted, the OE Banquet Hall & Conference Centre came out on top.
Local 793 received a congratulatory email from the newspaper on June 8, confirming the win.
A list of winning businesses will be published in the June 21 and 28 and July 5 editions of the newspaper.
North Oakville Today established the awards to show its clients how important they are to the community.
Local 793 will receive a plaque in honour of the win.
