Today, Local 793 will observe Canada’s National Day of Mourning at Head Office in Oakville. Union officers, staff, members and guests will gather to commemorate and honour our Brothers and Sisters killed, injured or who have suffered from illness due to workplace-related hazards and incidents. Business Manager Mike Gallagher will represent our Union at a ceremony at Queen’s Park as an invited guest of Minister of Labour David Piccini. Our ceremony will begin at 10:30 am.
