International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793 has produced this video in support of Inuit employees working at Baffinland’s Mary River Mine, Nunavut. This video is a collection of Nunavummiut employee testimonials. Employees have courageously come forward to share their experiences and concerns about their uncertain future at the Mary River Mine if the Phase 2 Development Proposal is not approved. These employees discuss the impact on them, their families and their communities.
This video has taken many months to complete and we hope it will provide both a new and important perspective that is currently missing in the discussions concerning the Phase 2 Development Proposal.
Local 793 is pleased to help support the Phase 2 Development Proposal and is very proud of the courageous participants.
