IUOE Local 793 would like to remind members that on this day at 11 a.m., we bow our heads for a moment of silence in remembrance of our courageous Canadian veterans.

On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, it is tradition to hold a moment of silence in commemoration of the armistice agreement that ended the First World War on Monday, November 11, 1918, at 11 a.m.

With this act of silence, we honour the courage, valour and sacrifice of the heroes who have served – and continue to serve – Canada during times of war and conflict.

Lest we forget.
