Local 793 Business Manager Mike Gallagher delivers a video message from head office in Oakville, updating members on the COVID-19 Local 793 Emergency Relief grant and the union’s effort to get members the interim order.
Gallagher also gives an update on a Supplemental Unemployment Benefits (SUB) plan the union is developing to provide financial assistance to members.
“Not a lot of construction trades have a SUB plan, but I think it’s time for the Operating Engineers to set one up.”
