More housing is coming to southwestern Ontario

Local 793 members are hard at work for Coco Paving on their Harmony Lakes subdivision project in LaSalle, ON. This project is estimated to be completed in 2024 and will include 370 new units,  bringing some much-needed housing to the area. Below are some pictures of Local 793 members onsite. Local 793 members are powering Ontario

Local 793 members are hard at work for Aecon Industrial on their Bruce Power Steam Generator Replacement project in Tiverton, ON. This project will extend the life of the current Bruce Power Generation units by 30-35 years, ensuring residents have a reliable power source for decades to come. Ontario Government invests $22 million on infrastructure projects in Southwestern Ontario

Fourteen municipalities in southwestern Ontario will benefit from major infrastructure improvements including better roads, bridges, improved sewer systems and a new fire and paramedic station. The government funding, totalling $22 million, will provide many project and job opportunities for Local 793 signatory contractors and members working in the region. Local 793 members are working hard for J-AAR Excavating on their low-rise project in Kitchener, ON. This project will provide more housing and additional retail and service options for residents. Local 793 members unload massive tunnel boring machines for subway projects in Toronto

Local 793 members are working hard unloading tunnel boring machines (TBMs) at the Port of Oshawa and in Scarborough. Strabag Inc. is the general contractor. The TBMs will be used for Metrolinx’s Eglinton Crosstown West Extension and Scarborough Subway Extension projects. This project will help build the largest subway tunnel in Toronto’s transit history.
