The Ontario government’s proposed amendment to Working for Workers builds on the previous versions to protect workers and job seekers, enhance employment standards, and support women in skilled trades.
If passed, the proposed changes are in the following categories:
- Opening pathways to skilled trades
- Remove barriers to employment
- Keep frontline heroes and workers healthy and safe
- Support women at work
- Increase fairness for jobseekers and employees
- Streamlining processes and updating systems and processes for international workers
